I discovered Lord Peter Whimsy in a pile of dusty books in my grandmother's attic in rural Illinois when I was 10. You and your writing and your food are the closest things in real life to that amazing character and those complicated layers of thought and prose that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Thank you for bringing that into my world.

Well, Holly, if only my prose could match yours!

Many thanks for the compliments.

Jeremiah- we met decades ago in SF. I’ve followed your life ever since. Your words come so alive for me-and I hate food. But this w/e I thought I would try to make a pie. Low expectations low ambitions. Do I? 😙

Don't need ambition for a pie, but very good luck with it!

Well, Jeremiah, I think my pie making days are over. Do you have something fanciful and poetic yet something a complete novice could get her hands around?? you are the master!
