The Philippines was the first place I ever had to face Valentine’s Day without having to manage a restaurant. That nightmare night fraught with emotions that no mere restaurant should have to handle. The Philippine Valentine’s Day is a particularly mixed blessing. Much looked forward to, but an one compromised with the difficulty of finding the right day for taking out one’s wife when one’s number one mistress and perhaps two lesser ones expect that day to be theirs as well.
I'm all over the crabmeat delights! Lovely. But thinking of Valentine's in the pastry department, all I can say is the guests looked so happy as they finished their cakes and tartes and the ladies swooned over nosegays of rosemary and lavender placed as their dates received the check, and my feet still hurt!
Sexy suggestions for nourishment. Delicious writing. Thank you.
You are such a romantic. Bisous to you and yours....
Yes! Red for Valentine’s! For us it was cheese ravioli with a lovely rosé sauce.
All too true.
Or take your husband to Stars because Feb14 is also his birthday, and be given Governor Jerry Brown’s table. That’ll do it.
