“On any visit to London, I live for a Sunday morning visit to the Marylebone market. For oysters shucked in the cold open air as I pull more cashmere around me…” So beautiful. :)
I absolutely adore Le Comptoir...discovered it around 2010 and because we were staying nearby made friends with a waitress and could sneak in though a side door...later took my daughter and granddaughter there (who eats nothing but steak, frites, and croissants) and had a glorious 3 hour lunch outside. It is my recommendation to everyone who travels to Paris...your posts are indeed mouthwatering!
Dear Chef J.T., 1. Just what does a Woodcock taste like? 2. Bofinger for me is Disneyworld for seafood lovers and lovers of fine dining. 3. The most amazing oysters I ever had were in Cancale pulled right out of one of the oyster farms. They were as big as salad plates. The only oysters to rival them are out of the Gulf just below New Orleans. You really do know how to make a mortal hungry. Best.
